Oliver White is a soccer player with Kingston City FC, an Australian soccer club from Clayton South, Victoria. Kingston City FC compete in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. Oliver grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and played club soccer with multiple teams while growing up in the US. He went on to play collegiate soccer at Harvard University as a student athlete where he tallied nine goals and five assists over the course of his collegiate career. Jon and Oliver crossed paths as Oliver was preparing to play in a series of trial games in Boston for scouts from professional soccer clubs. Topics discussed in this episode include:

What’s your Favorite Retro Football Jersey?

What are some of the best retro football jerseys you remember? I recently came across an old jersey I wore playing U-16 football in Ireland (pictured below). That got me thinking back to some of my favorite football jerseys that were around back in the eighties, nineties and early 2000’s. My personal favorites include Liverpool’s home and away jerseys from 1988-1990, Shelbourne’s old home jersey and the Euro “88 Holland jersey are some standouts. After leaving the Hawthorne’s last Sunday, Kolo Toure was chastised as the villain of the piece. Obviously his high profile mistake cost the reds three valuable points. On Saturday the former Arsenal defender set about correcting his West Brom nightmare with a sold performance against his former team. The good news for all Liverpool supporters is that he was part of the eleven that destroyed a top of the table Arsenal team. And convincingly so.
